We just love visiting a new partner location for the first time, and Fairwood Lakes gave us that instant “oooh this is very nice” feeling.

Hey,

When we started The Holiday Park People, one of the things that surprised us most was that the UK holiday park industry didn’t really have a podcast space of its own.

Hey,

There’s a lot happening in the holiday park world right now. Systems are evolving, guest expectations are rising, and operators are under more pressure than ever to get their tech, operations and customer experience working properly together.

Hey,

Last week, The Holiday Park People hit the road (and I mean really hit the road - 14 hours of it) to visit something very special: The Vale, Ohana Mua’s brand-new destination opening this July in Looe, Cornwall. Safe to say it was worth every minute

Hey,

This year has already been full of momentum for The Holiday Park People, and it’s only just getting started. We’re excited to announce that our team has grown by not one, not two, but three fantastic new additions. Each brings something unique to the table, and all three are already making a big impact behind the scenes.

Hey,

“Ohana” - a Hawaiian word that means “family". It can also refer to the people who support and sustain you, even if you aren't related to them.

We love and wholeheartedly resonate with the values of Ohana Mua, a strategic partner that we’ve been working alongside throughout the last 6 months.

Hey,

We’re almost four months in - time is flying. How is it almost December? We most definitely do not have our Christmas trees up. We're those last minute, throw the tree and decorations up, Xmas eve shopping kind of people (if you can relate, you're our people)

Hey,

We’ve answered that question a few times throughout the last month. A consequence of us having an idea and running with it full steam ahead? Most likely.

We’re those ‘100 miles an hour’ type of people and we know that all may not have been clear from the start.

Hey,

We’re off! Welcome to blog number one.

We’d love you to follow us on our new journey as The Holiday Park People. We promise to share honest insight into our world, we’ll shine a light on the UK holiday park sector and we’ll have a right laugh along the way.

The sector's first positive podcast

When we founded The Holiday Park People, we couldn't quite believe the UK holiday park sector didn't have a podcast! Not only is it an incredibly fun sector, it also contributes a significant amount to the UK economy. It creates incredible career opportunities, opportunities for innovation and, most importantly, for so many consumers, it creates amazing memories.

On the podcast, co-founders Stacey & Matt talk about all of the above, shining a light on the amazing people and businesses that operate in the sector, while also sharing the highs, lows and everyday life of our UK start-up journey.

We'd love for you to join us and get involved in the conversation!
